While you’ll get a custom fit strap based on the measurements you give Survival Straps, you still get some flexibility with how tight you’d like to wear your Apple Watch; each shackle has 3 holes to choose from. If your wrist measurement is in-between the available sizes, Survival Straps recommends rounding down to the nearest size.
A must for any trek into the wilderness, the Sawyer Extractor Pump kit has everything you need to draw venom and poison from below your skin. Most ultralight emergency shelters allow condensation to build up inside as you get warm, leaving your clothes soaking wet. With the Escape Bivvy, condensation is no longer an issue. The proprietary fabric lets moisture escape as it keeps rain, snow and wind out, while reflecting your body heat back to you. Imported. Opened dimensions: 84″L x 36″W.
Weight: 8.5 oz.
I understand that you’re going to expand the tools listing…may I suggest you research either homesteading sites or sustainability sites because without the tools to plant, harvest, and store their garden produce and the seeds (either saved or in form of a survival seed cache) necessary to replenish their food stores, a lot of people will be in trouble after that first year or two or three on their own passes. Not to mention the learning curve and the skills needed for those activities.
Our Survival Tools and Sharps Category is one of our most popular selections of survival equipment.  It includes high quality survival knives and survival tools, very popular to survivalists and outdoor enthusiasts alike.  It includes items like the Genuine Issue KA-BAR Marine Knife to Leatherman tools to the Made in the USA Spiral Wire Saw, one of the best Survival Wire Saws in production today.
On firemaking you covered several useful items. Here’s an idea on the magnifying glass… ever see those older model, big screen, rear projection TVs on the side of the road, at the dump, or in the “free” or “curb alert” ads? Excellent source of compact, VERY powerful magnifying glasses. There’s three in each one. Scrap the screen, find the housings in the bottom, pull them out and crack them open. The housings are tubular and designed like camera lenses with multiple plastic lenses near the ends, but in the middle there lies a high quality glass lens. Not the most durable as they scratch fairly easily, but they’ll start a fire even with pretty extensive scratches. I made some felt lined leather cases for mine, but simply kept them wrapped in a swatch of old flannel shirt and secured with a hairband until I made the cases.
For the last few weeks I’ve been testing out the Apple Watch Strap by Survival Straps which is made with a mix of paracord and high quality stainless steel. While there are lots of cheap Apple Watch band options on the market, Survival Straps’ deliberate approach with custom craftsmanship and quality materials makes this product worth looking at.

The NiteCore P12 and the Fenix PD35 flashlights both use CR123 batteries. I haven’t found those batteries in any Big Box store or in any kind of rechargeable version. Would we be safer with equipment that uses rechargeable AA’s? All of my solar rechargers are configured for AAA, AA, C, D, and 9V batteries. I can’t recharge CR123’s.
Love the kit! Comes with lots of great items that need to be in any survival kit! Good starter kit that you can personalize to fit your own needs. The bag it comes in is a little cheap, IMO. Zippers are a bit difficult to work with, but all in all, I am happy with the purchase!

A lot of great information in here. Your point about making offers is well done. You don’t need much traffic or subscribers to start making offers. As long as you are providing value, people will buy and continue to comeback for more.
So you are a Spyderco fan. Can’t go wrong with those knives. Out of my 80 some knives my favorite is a Spyderco Warrior. Superb workmanship and coolness factor is off the charts. So sharp it is scary.
Survival Power: Though a Marlin 336XLR comes at a higher price, this rifle is suggested for people who haven’t spent a lot of time on a gun range — and again that is due to it’s higher accuracy, requiring less marksmanship skills to get your aim correct. There are rifles that do come in at a lot less cost; but with these rifles a lot more time should be spent learning how to shoot with a scope so that you can correctly hit your target.
Whether you love the look and feel of paracord or have been looking for a durable and robust Apple Watch band option, Survival Straps’ handmade, customizable Apple Watch Strap is a good value at $49.99 and is available for both 38mm and 42mm Apple Watches.
While this is not a replacement for a good home survival kit, it comes in very handy when you find yourself outdoors in the wild and realize that you have one in the car. You can use it in even non-emergency situations such as when you need something to tie your trunk while transporting a bicycle. Extremely universal survival kit.
Survival Power: Portable water filters do not remove chemicals and so none are a complete solution to water. Outside of a city following a collapse local water sources may be contaminated with any number of chemicals as industrial run-off leeches into ground water, making this water unsafe to drink, even with a water filter. In a wilderness setting though, a Lifestraw should do just fine for you, and be a real life saver.
We covered Survival Knives generally in our Bug Out Bag Essentials post but they are so useful it is worth re-hashing here. Generally you are better off getting a solid, full tang knife from a trusted knifemaker such as Ontario, Camillus, Becker, or Gerber. Stay away from hollow handled survival knives if at all possible. The small amount of storage space will not make up for the overall inferior build quality. This is a small, strong cord that can be used in shelter building, ascending or descending inclines, as a clothes line, to fasten a splint, or to build a snare. Read out article about paracord uses and storage here.
A survival kit is something most hikers, hunters, and explorers will never break open. It will sit in the bottom of a backpack, potentially for years, encased in a waterproof vessel of some sort, lightweight and out of the way.
Keeping your food, perishables, and other valuables off the ground isn’t just a sure way to ensure their safety, but it will help stave off moisture and insects as well. Find a solid branch that can bear the weight of your supplies and then rig a simple paracord knot (in a bind, even a shoe-tie knot will suffice). Tie the paracord around your bag, cooler, or storage kit—don’t be afraid to tie it more than once to ensure security—and voila! You now have a method of keeping your food away from the animals. When you need to move, simply untie the paracord, pack it up again, and move along.
I have purchased several knives from survival life. The first knife I got, someone liked it better than I did and I was not a happy camper. I have given the knives to coworkers and each person likes them as much as I do! They are very sturdy, and well made. The smaller multi-tool is a great little “get me out of trouble” helper. The fire starters are going to be some stocking stuffers. The fire and fishing grenades are also neat. I will continue to purchase them when offered, even when the wife says that I have too many knives and toys.
“Hello, I received my order today and first off I would like to say how stunned I was on how quickly the order came. I was expecting anywhere from three to seven days but it arrived in just two! Thank you so much! (We can’t take credit for that. We ship it the way you select.)
Given that our Survival Straps are made from several feet of super-strong military spec paracord, there’s a lot of survival power that you can pack into one paracord bracelet. But it does take a bit of know-how to suddenly become the McGyver of Survival Straps. The good news? Once you acquire the know-how provided in this article, you’ll be ready to shelter yourself, feed yourself, and keep your most valuable items out of harm’s way. And when it comes to Survival Straps, that’s just the tip of the survival iceburg.
