If a subject’s lifetime is known to be less than a certain duration, the lifetime is said to be left-censored. Left censoring is usually applied when subjects in a study already have exhibited the event in question at the start of the study but information about when they first reached the event is unclear.[3]

BBB reports on unauthorized use of the Better Business Bureau’s name and/or logo for as long as the business continues to use it in any advertising, or for one year after the business ceases any repeated unauthorized uses.

Did you know that you can make safe, effective and all-natural dish soap by combining a few household ingredients and following a few basic steps?  The finished product can be nearly as effective as items purchased in stores, and it doesn’t take a lot of time or effort to whip up a batch as …

HOW TO STOP A NOSEBLEED A common, often minor, problem that causes significant anxiety for both the patient and the caregiver is the nosebleed, also known as “epistaxis”. More than 50% of the population will experience a nose bleed during their l…

Survival Power: A military Goretex sleeping bag system can do a good job at keeping you warm — but only to negative 10 degrees Fahrenheit — you’ll have to wear additional layers and craft additional insulation if temperatures drop below negative 10.

Same as EVERYONE else (except the 1 tool that posted a 5 star & probably works there!). I ordered the everstryke match. $ gone, no product. Emailed & called. Empty promises & bullsh!t. This company is a HUGE SCAM. BEWARE!!! BBB gave them an F rating.

This is an awesome trick that can be used in any situation for a little fun, though it’s still helpful in a survival sense if, say, your dog buries your car keys or something. It turns out that with just a handheld radio and a pocket calculator, you can make a crude metal detector. Here’s how it works:

Water from many waterbodies may seem clear, but it is filled with microscopic organisms that may cause severe infections. If you must wash the wound, make sure that you use clean water. If you can boil water, then use boiled water to clean the wounds. If you can’t use boiled water, you can use the water collected from tree transpiration. We have seen how to collect this water in the tip#10.

The water from swamps, even after they’ve been purified, can still smell really dodgy. To remedy this, add some charcoal to the water while it’s being boiled. Not only does this add to the purification process, but it also makes the water taste much more drinkable and jettison the bad smell.

It’s easy to get flustered when you’re out in the wild, particularly if you’ve ended up in a survival situation. With your heart racing and your mind blurred though, your decision making won’t be anywhere near it’s best.

Location gear/rescue gear. Good array of items there. But bear in mind: gadgets crap out at the most inopportune moment, the sky can become severely overcast, flares can get wet or damaged, and whistles can be lost. All of these are great ideas, and I have mirrors, flares, a beacon, and walkies myself. But there’s one thing I’d add to the list: Hunter Orange or safety vests. Lightweight and compact, never runs out of batteries, highly visible, hard to lose, and needs very little ambient light to be visible. I have an 18″X18″ square of hunter orange with an “X” of reflective stripe sewn on. Imagine a day-glo confederate battle flag, and you likely have the right mental image.

If those questioning the media’s “official narrative” of the events of the Florida school shooting needed any more evidence that they are on the right track, they’ve just gotten it.  YouTube and Twitter are now scrubbing users who dare to question the student’s demanding gun control and the media’s account of the school shooting.

Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, has come out saying that the United States is on a collision course with mass chaos and civil unrest. History has proven that there’s only so much oppression human beings can stand before they cease complying with those…

We’ve thought about doing a bug out bag guide so many times before it’d be impossible to count, but somehow in 4 years, still haven’t actually published one. The why comes down to the fact that, unlike comprehensive lists – like of all…

Be aware that a rain storm in a dry canyon system can bring flash flooding — so better to make your shelter on higher ground. At the same time, camping along a river bank, especially in the spring time, can also be dangerous — if rains fall in the nearby mountains, and as snow melts from the previous winter’s accumulation, flash flooding can take place. Better to camp up on higher ground in this case as well.

P ( T ≤ t 0 + t ∣ T > t 0 ) = P ( t 0 < T ≤ t 0 + t ) P ( T > t 0 ) = F ( t 0 + t ) − F ( t 0 ) S ( t 0 ) . {\displaystyle P(T\leq t_{0}+t\mid T>t_{0})={\frac {P(t_{0}t_{0})}}={\frac {F(t_{0}+t)-F(t_{0})}{S(t_{0})}}.}

The most overwhelming side of being a creative (for me) is how to be realistic, professional, and run a business. Hearing and seeing the tools required to be successful is a huge weight of my shoulders. I would say that Survival Guide took away the unknown aspects of running a creative business that often paralyzed my growth. It has made me excited again to be an artist, and one that could make money and be happy.

On the heels of news that the United States is posturing ships in the Black Sea near Russia’s border, Vladimir Putin revealed a slew of new defense systems Thursday, including a new prototype missile that “can reach any point in the world.” He also has a supersonic weapon that cannot be tracked by anti-missile systems.

Let’s get started with the essentials. Mykel Hawke, a retired U.S. Army Special Forces captain and survivalist, author of “Hawke’s Special Forces Survival Handbook” shares tips from real-life combat and other dire situations which could save your life.

Survival Throwing Star-Knife: Here’s one for all you knife freaks & gurus. Ok, I know they make those metal throwing stars, but this baby can be used in multiple ways in a survival situation. As an individual hunting & throwing knive, a throwing star and as a spear head when attached to a stick for hunting game or spearing fish. To make one of these all you have to do is buy a set of those cheapo metal throwing knives, drill a few holes, make a few groves on the handle(s) so when you go to wrap some paracord around it to attach it to a stick it will hold it in place and not slide off. And then add four (4) screws, washers and wing nuts to keep it together until you need to use it.

Hey Abdul, thanks for that. That’s a good but I don’t think that business they talk about was SurvivalLife. I think it was simply a product they bought which then they integrated with SurvivalLife or it gave them the inspiration for SurvivalLife. I could be wrong I don’t know the ins and outs of it.

If you start hearing strange voices, noises or even banjo music, it is vital to control your emotions. The USAF Survival Manual stresses, “A survivor’s psychological state greatly influences their ability to successfully return from a survival situation.”

Preventing water loss is vital, so protect yourself from the sun (you can work on your tan some other time). Dip cloths or a shirt in some water and drape them over you for cooling. When water is lacking on land, collect morning dew on plastic material, then transfer it to a container. If you don’t have a container, Hawke notes that a Ziploc bag can serve as a canteen. It is also possible to desalinate seawater.

Happy Holidays! To celebrate, let me share the unreleased cover songs I recorded this year that you haven’t heard (if you’re not on my email list). Here’s my SoundCloud page where you can stream all four covers. I really appreciate all of you — hope you & your loved ones are having a nice holiday season!

I ordered the Hoffman Richter Talon knife for $24.95 with a promised delivery date of 7-12 business days. I called for status at the 18 business day mark and was told the order was misplaced. They said my money will be refunded, but we’ll see. Although they list an Austin, Texas physical address and a phone number with the correct Austin, Texas exchange (512), the number connects to a customer service contractor company in the Philippines.

  1. At night, there is a greater risk of freezing to death. Stay dry. Bundle up. Get yourself off the ground. Make a “bed” of layers of branches, leaves, twigs, whatever is there, and cover yourself with the same stuff. To stay warm at night, you can heat rocks in the fire, bury them, and sleep on top of them, but this is a painstaking process; it’s easier to place yourself between the fire and a large reflective object such as a fallen log, a boulder, or your space blanket.
