Very simple to use. You just remove the ranger band/heavy duty rubber covering the line on the tube, tie on your favorite lure or baited hook and bobber. Put your hand into the lanyard – so the kit do…
Staying warm on a cold night is never truly appreciated until you spend 10 hours shivering in a sleeping bag not rated for the sudden drop in temperature that just took place the night before. There’s a solution, though: a Goretex modular sleeping bag system. What you get is a sleeping bag with a sleeping bag liner (effectively creating multiple layers of sleeping bag, based on how cold it is). The primary bag is rated to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. Add the interior layer and this cold temperature rating drops to minus 10 degrees.
To survive a natural or man made event either at home or away. This could be a hurricane, earthquake, tornado damage, a vehicle break down, even just a snowstorm that makes the roads unpassable. In many places, if there’s some bad weather on the way, the grocery stores get cleaned out.
A truly unique travel knife, this is one piece of survival gear you can’t live without. About the size of your standard credit card, it unfolds to reveal a sharp blade and comfortable, non-slip gripping handle that lets you slice, cut or chop your way through even the toughest materials.
It’s the same with quite a bit of the gear on this list as well. Sure it’s helpful to have a firesteel, but if you don’t know how to make sparks from it, it’ll be rendered practically useless. You’ll want to at least test out a lot of the gear you have to make sure you’ll know how to use it when you need to, and you’ll also want to use the gear enough so you’re sure it won’t break on you when you need it the most.

Looks great in the photo’s, but it is not what I received. Very disappointing and not as sturdy/durable as expected based on the photos. The photos show (2 of the 3 photos they have on the page) this great stainless steel buckle and heavy stainless steel screw (similar to what I have received on other high dollar Paracord Survival Bracelets) set to hold it firmly in place. The bracelet I received has a cheap nylon plug to hold it together (photo of what I received attached). I assume that will last a couple of weeks and will loosen up from daily outdoor wear and tear or snap off. The photos advertising it are no doubt false and not the product they ship. It’s an absolute shame that a company that markets this worthy cause uses misleading photos to sell their substandard product. I have been on Amazon many, many years and this is the worst item I have received to date based on what was shown versus what I received.
I have ordered several items from Survival Life and have gotten them in a reasonable amount of time. I have never been charged for anything, but the items I have ordered and have not been charged a membership fee. I am very happy with all of the items I have ordered from them.
This is a small, strong cord that can be used in shelter building, ascending or descending inclines, as a clothes line, to fasten a splint, or to build a snare. Read out article about paracord uses and storage here.

It could be a good idea if you have an interest in starting a preppers website but do you have any interest in this niche as you’ll probably struggle otherwise. Plus it will be difficult to create content with authority if you know nothing about it and the people in this niche will see that right away.

The problem with recommending a backpacking tent for survival is that good ones can be expensive; on top of that, tents are built for recreational use — not for long term use should you find yourself in a time of disaster and having to live off the land for possibly several weeks or even months.
Freeze-dried food may fail you, especially if someone robs you for whatever food you have. A good survivalist will always have a “plan B” for feeding yourself and your family. Two listed below will help you do just that. (Hint: These products make hunting easier, especially for beginners).
December of 1942, shortly after the beginning of World War 2, a company by the name of KA-BAR builds a knife that it hopes will become issued to the United States Marine Corp (USMC). KA-BAR and the USMC went back and forth devising a master plan to create the ultimate fighting/utility knife. At the time, […]
Why buy a muffled whistle to signal for help when you can buy an eardrum-bursting whistle to alert distant people to your distress? The Fox 40 is commonly used as a referee whistle at sporting events, and if it can be heard over the roar of a crown, it can be heard for a long way in the wild. Select bright-colored models for good visibility. This allows for easy retrieval from your pack or if you drop it. The pea-less design works great when wet, dry, and even in subfreezing conditions. If you’ve got any breath left in your body, blow this whistle until the rescue team arrives.
A bit of a luxury item in a survival scenario but drinking water out of your hands is not convenient. Plus, if you happen to have coffee, soup, or freeze-dried meals you’ll need a bowl or cup to eat these meals.

Survival Power: Portable water filters do not remove chemicals and so none are a complete solution to water. Outside of a city following a collapse local water sources may be contaminated with any number of chemicals as industrial run-off leeches into ground water, making this water unsafe to drink, even with a water filter. In a wilderness setting though, a Lifestraw should do just fine for you, and be a real life saver.
Defense / Security: The wilderness can be a dangerous place; so can the streets of a major city following a widespread disaster. This list of top 10 survival gear includes products for defense and security.

I don’t think Ryan bought Survival Life. Not from what I’ve read anyway. Ryan and his team set out criteria for a niche they wanted to get involved with (passionate, spends money, lots of retailers and affiliates, easy to find target audience etc) and survival / prepping ticked all the boxes so they created a site on it.
I think you’re a little short on security. I wouldn’t dream of bugging out or trying to survive post-TEOTWAWKI without a good handgun (or two) in 9mm Parabellum, a rifle in 5.56/223 Remington (whether AR or otherwise), and at least a 308 bolt action for longer range/harder hits.

What was once used as a practical method to carry supplementary cord by soldiers and firefighters, paracord bracelets are now being used by countless outdoor adventurers. By using different parts of the strap to create improvised equipment for food, shelter, and emergency situations, a 550 cord can be the difference between life and death.
Lansky’s sharpener is awesome – we have one and you’re right it’s great. The fact that it’s so compact is a huge bonus. I really can’t believe I forgot to put knife sharpeners on the list – thanks so much for spotting that! When I revise the list, they’ll have to be on it!
