In common words, the goal of human existence is to scramble for power and wealth.  Human society is just a stage for race, or competition. To the losers, competition is very cruel. Competition causes a lot of stress, so not everyone likes competition. If you give up, others, including your parents, will look down on you, and tell you that you are useless. Therefore, every one of us born in this society is forced to take part in the competition. Why is human society a stage for competition? Because human beings have needs. The first need is oxygen, and the needs for food, water, clothes, housing and transportation are followed. All these things are not free, have limited supply, except oxygen. Nobody can survive without food, water, clothes and house, so, people feel unsafe, and then they desire for all these. This desire is limitless. Even if someone has gathered enough wealth for the rest of his life, he still wants to collect more for his children, even his grandchildren. The result of limited resources plus limitless desires is competition.

Tips: Bring along an extra “stuff sack”, like you’d carry a sleeping bag in, and use it to carry your tarp shelter when it’s time to break camp and move to a new location. Roll up your tarp and then cinch it tight with paracord or rope. Have a few stakes with you to use as ground anchors for your tent.
Great article I found it well written and informative. With all of these types of scenarios every one has a different idea and they all help but in the end it will always be personal opinion that wins out
Tip: There is no guarantee you’ll be in an area prime for hunting — not unless you do your research first and know where to enter the wilderness so that your journey takes you through remote areas where game is plentiful.
Hey Jason, I don’t know why they don’t put affiliate links in their reviews. Maybe they prefer not to promote on the blog but instead get you into their email list and promote to you there. To build up trust that their reviews are impartial and not designed to make affiliate sales.
Rather than MRE’s, check out your local LDS/Mormon “Bishop’s Warehouse” for cans & Mylar bags of bulk and dehydrated foods. The cans are designed for 30+ year storage and the Mylar bags are perfect for hiking, camping, and survival. They are a lot cheaper than MRE’s. You can even buy some Mylar bags and make your own “meals in a bag” for even less money.

With the Active Edge Technology, what we’ve been able to do is actually embed radio frequencies within a particular product.
Being able to directly call for help eliminates a whole host of potential scenarios that could result in serious damage to a hiker or camper in trouble, and so having charge in your phone can be imperative.

Thanks Jacques, I suspect that a lot of people don’t consider comms to be that important but it will determine your route to safety as well as the next step you can make without incurring extreme risk. Not to mention the ability to be rescued in a Katrina-like situation. Thanks for dropping by!
It may take a while before your trap catches something so in the meantime, use another part of the 550 cord for fishing. By attaching a sharp hook and bait into a strand of the bracelet, you just might have a chance of grilling seafood for dinner.
When nature strikes back, refuge can sometimes be impossible. Throughout human history, we have seen how the human population has been devastated by the strongest and most terrifying calamities that ever hit…
