I’ll have to take your word for it. I scrolled down through their FB page, but couldn’t find any offers. I signed up for their list and no offers yet (though I imagine they wait for an opportune time). I did see the member’s area offer of $19.95, which I’m assuming also contains upsells.
Moras are amazing. They’ve always impressed – especially since they’re available for such low cost while they’re so damn valuable! Bics are perfect as well, and also bang for buck, you’re right they’re phenomenal and perform perfectly for lighting fires. Wigwam socks: doubt I’ll ever buy any others again. Socks made of anything but wool get ruined so damn easily.
As I wrap up this wilderness survival guide, consider this. While I began my journey learning wilderness survival out of a deep, and what I now understand as an archetypal, need to be in direct relationship with my most basic needs as a human being, the learning journey itself brought many more gifts. It actually changed the way I perceived the world, bringing me to a newfound level of health and vitality, and ultimately bringing me into full connection with my passion, my power, and my purpose in life.
See it through your kids’ eyes. In 2014, actress Gwyneth Paltrow popularized conscious uncoupling as a byword for a positive, amicable divorce. As doctors Habib Sadeghi and Sherry Sami subsequently wrote on Paltrow’s website, “Children are imitators by nature … If we are to raise a more civilized generation, we must model those behaviors during the good and bad times in our relationships.”
This is great! My internet cut out for a couple hours this morning, so I thought to myself, “I really need to download some resource books.” Lo and behold, I come here, and there’s a great list of free downloads. Perfect timing… Thanks, MD!
I am sure that you must have seen those ugly looking rain ponchos. However, if you are heading out to camp or hunt, these seemingly simple things can add significant value to your kit. These ponchos can be used in several ways if a survival situation presents itself.
If you wear glasses, you know the pain of fogged up lenses in cold weather far too well. You can easily prevent this from happening with a simple little trick. Follow the steps below to create a fog-free pair of glasses.
It’s a massive list for those who’d like to check their own self-made kits off in comparison to something comprehensive – to see if there’s anything they’ve missed that they may have wanted to take if only they’d remembered it.

Contained in an ABS-plastic waterproof case, this survival kit holds an array of key survival tools, including Tinder-Quik fire starters, 150-pound-test braided nylon cord, military-spec stainless steel wire, and an emergency sewing and fishing kit.
Dr. Jonathan Quick, a medical doctor and one of the world’s top health professionals claims that the conditions are perfect for a new superbug in the form of a killer flu virus pandemic. Quick also believes that this pandemic could kill upwards of 33 million people in just 200 days.
This is honestly something you should never attempt, and hopefully you’re never in a situation that would call for you to perform first aid on a lung puncture—but hey, knowledge is power. A sucking chest wound is a type of wound that penetrates through the chest wall and into the lung. Because of the extra lung hole, air can escape through the chest with a distinctive “sucking” sound (hence the name).
Water purifying tablets are a must in your survival kit. These small tablets can help you clean water in the absence of any heat of other means of purification. Although tablets may not last forever and it is not good to survive entirely on them, they can be a good emergency backup.
More generally, survival analysis involves the modelling of time to event data; in this context, death or failure is considered an event in the survival analysis literature – traditionally only a single event occurs for each subject, after which the organism or mechanism is dead or broken. Recurring event or repeated event models relax that assumption. The study of recurring events is relevant in systems reliability, and in many areas of social sciences and medical research.
I am the invisible prepper. I am, on the surface, a caricature of everything that most SurvivalBlog readers seem to deplore. On the surface, I am a caricature of what the non-prepper community expects me to be– completely average in every way. Who…

CBS’s Survivor has become one of the most watched television shows in America. One of the reasons for this show’s success is that there is an adventurer in all of us and since we all cannot be in a survival situation we like to live vicariously through the people on the show.
Ditto on kenneth,s comments. Greatlist! Most of what I know so far is from fiction and pinterest and other readings. I had to decide if I really wanted to live after the Shtf. Stratification. The subjects can be divided into strata, where subjects within a stratum are expected to be relatively more similar to each other than to randomly chosen subjects from other strata. The regression parameters are assumed to be the same across the strata, but a different baseline hazard may exist for each stratum. Stratification is useful for analyses using matched subjects, for dealing with patient subsets, such as different clinics, and for dealing with violations of the proportional hazard assumption.

Don’t listen to Frankenstein’s monster: Fire is amazing, and it could determine how comfortable your stay at the Le Castaway Inn is. Starting a fire enables you to stay warm, cook, dry clothing, fend off wildlife, purify water and signal for help.
FireLaces are one of those pieces of gear you can wear every day. These are shoelaces with mini Ferro rods at the ends. Just loop the striker into the laces, and you’re shoes become a survival tool in their own right.
• Digging for water: Certain plants indicate water sources are nearby. Identify plants, such as cattails, cottonwood or willows, and dig a seep hole until you reach moisture. Wait for water to collect in the hole.
NOTE: One of the biggest hurdles in starting a fire is finding the right kind of kindling. If you can make a kindling that can catch fire quickly, you have half of your work cut out. One of the best fuel that you can make is a char cloth.
One of the best ways to spend the night is by making a make-shift hammock. Find a couple of trees that have tall trunks for your hammock. Trees that have less foliage are best. Make a hammock as high as you can and climb into it to spend the night. It will protect you from wild animals as well as the creeping and crawling insects.

Be careful with the Home Depot lids….they are NOT as strong as sheetrock mud buckets or others. Won’t take a lot of beating before they crack……use a rubber mallet to avoid problems. I’m sure HD uses the minimum bid contractor, just like all their house brand stuff.
