To undo a sugar binge, start with a spoonful of PB: the protein and fat help slow down digestion and delay the inevitable blood sugar crash. Then resist the fetal position: get up and walk around. A 15-minute stroll after meals can lower blood sugar, according to research in Diabetes Care.
There are, but using them responsibly is an option, too. Crack open a window and do not leave it on for prolonged periods of time and *never* without monitoring it. Have a carbon monoxide alarm that will go off to be more cautious. Best if used in a garage with great ventilation. They’re still helpful, but yes, please use responsibly if you do use them. Similarly, you can survive about three weeks without food. Again, that does not mean that you will be up and about throughout the three weeks. It just means that you can ‘survive’ and not die if you don’t eat food for three weeks.

Most people don’t even think about basic survival skills as something they must acquire. Most of the people that I talk to believe that they will never end up in a ‘survival’ situation. I will tell you what I say those people; you don’t ‘plan’ to get into a situation like that! It just happens. And God forbid, should such a situation arise, you must be prepared.

It’s time to get creative. Familiarize yourself with how to build a lean-to; there are various types of shelters you can build and each has different pros and cons. Obviously you want overhead covering for warmth at night and protection from the elements. If you are in rocky, mountainous terrain, look for overhangs. It’s bad for the customer to order things and still not get them a month later. It’s just bad business and not how you want to treat a repeated customer. I mean, what do they do, wait until the end of the month and send an employee across the country to deliver packages to try and save money? Heck, I thought I was the one paying shipping, or at least that’s what my receipt says, so why take so damn long?

The North Star always points to true north, which is great for when you don’t have a compass at night or when you want to check the accuracy of the compass you have. Try looking for the big dipper first, which is easy to find if you know your constellations. Then draw an imaginary straight line through the edges of the big dipper and this will lead you to the tail of the little dipper. This is the North Star.
